Description
This chart is part of the Natalie J. Wilson Fostering Jazz Series – designed to help beginning jazz students experience success!
Need a straight ahead approach for a beginning jazz choir? Or a fun, energetic swing tune to teach to your grade school choir? This original melody is set in unison, and includes a section with four vocal parts layered on top of each other that can be interchanged and used as a tool to teach how parts interact with each other, without the challenge of direct vocal harmony.
This is also a great chart to use to introduce jazz to a beginning student rhythm section – all parts are fully notated using easy to read patterns to increase literacy.
Vocal Range (all parts can be doubled an octave below): Main melody is C4-A4. Highest vocal part range D4-D5, lowest part is A3-F4.
Includes the combined vocal/piano score, the full score, plus individual parts: vocal, notated piano, notated bass, notated drums. Difficulty level 1.
