Introducing Natalie J. Wilson’s Fostering Jazz Series! This series within Anchor Music Publications is designed to foster, or nurture jazz in any choral ensemble from elementary through collegiate levels and beyond. If you are looking for an approachable vocal jazz piece for your young ensemble, one with little jazz experience or a quick learn tune for more advanced ensembles, this series is for you! In this series you will find charts that introduce your ensembles to a variety of jazz styles. Flexible voicings include unison, 2-3 parts and break out chords which allow the opportunity to explore the stylistic nuances and articulations within the jazz genre.
Here at Anchor Music, we believe that a vocal jazz ensemble provides a unique opportunity to help teach singers and players to work in tandem. While we recognize that many school choirs perform only with a pianist or with tracks, this series features accessible, fully written out parts for your budding student rhythm section players to grow into.
ALL charts and tracks are included in one convenient and downloadable bundle at a lower price than the large publishing houses. In most cases, each bundle includes a vocal score, a vocal/piano score, written out rhythm section parts, part tracks (where applicable), and a backing track with accompaniment only, for use in rehearsal or performance.
