Introducing Natalie J. Wilson’s Fostering Jazz Series! This series within Anchor Music Publications is designed to foster, or nurture jazz in any choral ensemble from elementary through collegiate levels and beyond. If you are looking for an approachable vocal jazz piece for your young ensemble, one with little jazz experience or a quick learn tune for more advanced ensembles, this series is for you! Just look for the FJS logo around the Anchor site!
In this series you will find charts that introduce your ensembles to a variety of jazz styles. Flexible voicings include unison, 2-3 parts and break out chords which allow the opportunity to explore the stylistic nuances and articulations within the jazz genre.
Vocal tracks and recordings of the accompaniment as written in the charts are available for your ensemble to practice. Additionally, you have the option of using an accompaniment recording if you do not have access to a rhythm section for your rehearsals or performances.
