This is a very different spin on an old classic! The arrangement opens with rhythm section, featuring a funky hip-hop groove. This freshly reharmonized treatment includes quartal voicings, lush chords, horn-like backgrounds and a variety of dynamic contrast and vocal inflections. The bridge sets up a swing feel. An open solo section provides plenty of space for improvising over the original chord progression (changes provided in vocal, keyboard, and optional electric guitar parts) with backgrounds provided – and the ending is one big harmonic surprise. The singers really do have fun with this one and your hard-working rhythm section will be delighted!
