Originally arranged for San Diego vocalist Leonard Patton, this arrangement was adapted for vocals by Matt Falker for the vocal ensemble True North – see their performance of this on the main stage of the JEN conference. The outstanding demo was recorded by KCKCC (John Stafford, director) on their “Coal and Diamonds” album.

This setting is more solo driven with horizontal part writing, and less about tuning vertical ensemble chords – feature up to four of your amazing soloists (S/A/T/B) throughout the arrangement. Your band will enjoy the challenge of playing the contemporary jazz progression and feel, and your audience will love hearing this re-imagining of U2.

SATB Voicing Range: Sop up to Bb5, alto down to A3, tenor up to F#4 (A4 opt), bass down to A2.
