Description

How You Loved You Me On Mars is a beautiful composition with a simple, plaintive lyric. The song can be performed with vocals and piano only, but there is an acoustic bass part as well as an optional part for light B3-style organ. An alto feature that doesn’t require a large range covers the bulk of the melody, supported by straight ahead writing for the choir. Show your students the original video by composers Kathleen Grace and Josh Nelson and they’ll be hooked!

SATB Range: Sop up to C#5, alto down to G3. Tenor up to G4, bass down to D3.
